Miss Bakery, the founder, a former flight attendant for 15 years,was inspired to open Pure Living Bakery by the many cafes she visited in between flights especially in LA and New York, indulging in her love for coffee and cakes.

The idea came in San Francisco while watching the big sea lions at Pier 39, one of her most favourite places. Her goal from the start in 2007 was to do things differently by bringing a positive attitude to Vienna with a smile and a vision that’s always been a little ´outside the box´.

Our aim is to offer homemade great tasting food and drinks using high quality ingredients, baking cakes the old fashioned way with homemade recipes just as Miss Bakery´s grandma taught her from childhood, with just the right amount of butter and sugar and NO artificial colourings, flavorings and preservatives .

Rich in detail and vintage ephemera, Pure Living Bakery cafes are perfect venues to delve into a good book, take time out, contemplate the meaning of life, or just catch up with an old friend and simply enjoy a delicious treat.We love what we do and believe that you can taste our passion in everything we prepare for you!

Our VILLAGE CAFÉ opened 2007 in Altgasse (one of the oldest streets in Vienna)  just minutes away from Schönbrunn Palace. It had been like stepping back in time to our favourite Grandma´s or Auntie´s kitchen.

Our larger TOWN CAFÉ  opened 2013 was eclectic, with a mix of LA beachcool and rustic New York, had a slightly wider selection on the menu and was near the Museum Quarter in the 7th district.

In 2016, after searching around the globe for great new products and consulting with customers, we have expanded the menu options especially for breakfast and lunch on offer every day as well as our artisan coffee and great selection of yummy cakes.

In January 2018 Miss Bakery decided to follow her dream to live by the sea and to take Pure Living Bakery with her.

We are looking forward to seeing you again at Pure Living Bakery by the sea in the future where the coffee flows all day and the sun is always shining!
