! October 2009: Lots of new cakes!

October 2009: New Cookie Arrivals!
Waikiki Beach and Coffee Caramel Cookies:
During my last trip to California I bought a pineapple cookie, sat down at Hermosa Beach and thought: what a good idea for a new cookie at Pure Living! We decided to add coconut flakes to the recipe and the result is our new Waikiki Beach Cookie; an excellent outcome, if you ask me J
Since we’re serving lots of coffee specialties I’ve been thinking for a while about adding coffee to a cookie recipe. But there was something missing. After trying this and that, we’ve created our Coffee Caramel Cookie, great for coffee and caramel enthusiasts.
? September 2009: Do you speak Japanese?
The world is small: A couple of weeks ago three Japanese journalists paid us a visit and wanted to write about Pure Living in their new traveller’s guide to Vienna. Our only condition was: We wanted to have a copy of the finished piece. It just arrived and we would like to say “Thank you” again to the authors for this great service. Unfortunately, none of us speak Japanese; therefore the first person to come into the shop and translate the article to German will be rewarded with a free drink and cookie.
September 2009: Remodelling finished!
Just as planned we used the summer break to remodel the Pure Living Bakery. There is now a coffee bar right at the entrance and the part in the back has been expanded to hold several more tables. For pictures, go to our photo gallery. We’re looking forward to working in this new environment from September 1st. Additionally, new items have been added to our menu: Poffertjes, a specialty from Holland, mini-pancakes served with melted butter and powdered sugar, maple syrup or hot cherries. New drinks: Cafe Americano, Cafe Latte Macadamia Nut, Cafe Latte Gingerbread, Dark Chocolate Lavender and Kiba (Cherry-Bananajuice). Don’t forget to stop by at the Bezirksfestival on September 5th!
